Hello, I am Romane from France. 

In February 2024, I quitted my job as a solar power plant engineer to travel from one country to another, free from stress and time pressure. My motivation for this journey is to reconnect with nature, meet new inspiring people and go outside my comfort zone to explore new possibilities.

I like to learn new things from other people. I am interested in all subjects and very curious. I want to understand how the world works (an easy challenge!). I am friendly and cheerful, I pratique the french sarcastic humour very well. I also love pets and don't hate children. I love to challenge myself by breaking my mental barriers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels, I was used to sleeping in hostels, but I was frustrated because I didn't have enough time and opportunity to really get to know the culture of the country. I think that meeting locals and sharing their habits while sleeping in their homes is the best way to embrace a culture.

Interests

Of course I love travelling, visiting cities, trying new foods, meeting new people, mostly locals to learn about their country. But also hiking is my passion, I am a nature lover who tries to protect it as much as I can.
I love cooking (and eating!), I can cook some French dishes and I try to learn new recipes during my travels to bring them back with me!
I am also a fan of games, whether card games or video games. I always enjoy playing card games and discovering new ones.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you to pratice your French or, at least, teach you the most important words if you want to travel to my country one day !
I wish I could improve my English. I know how to make myself understood but I would like to speak perfectly.
I hope we could share our knowledge about our country, explaine each other the customs and habits, the history that led to the country's current state.
I always looking for advices or tips for visiting !
