About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn about the impact images have on the body.

ABOUT ME

I figured out that there are days i'm scared to be alone in a tent in the woods.

PHILOSOPHY

"Space Balls" on my cellphone teaches me everything about life: You meet wall. You meet body. Your length is to long.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfed a lot on great peoples tatamis, couches and beds. Hosted too less. Just give me a shout!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had great couchsurfing experiences last year in Ireland and France: Freya and Stuart e.g. with the most comfortable airbed. Or Karen with her David Lynch like living room where we talked about surreal dreams all night. Or Roberto in Tokyo who showed me his guilty pleasure tv-show and the most beautiful brazilian café in town. Or the fantastic four japanese guys in Tadaimae - we shot a short film for their shared-house website. "I speak english only little, but can we be friends please?"

Interests

Currently I'm working on a trans media installation about the interdependency of digital devices and bodies.

Music, Movies, and Books

The rain in japanese movies by Keisuke Kinoshita. The rain at woodcuts by Hokusai. The rain in hungarian movies by Bela Tarr. Ecstasy, orgy and bodies in performances by Jan Fabre. White Men Are Black Men Too by Young Fathers. The deep beats by Chassol. The beauty of light in paintings by Caravaggio. The description of a perfect japanese toilet by Tanizaki.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Shanghai over Christmas was one of the deepest experiences of the last years. This city is like a big theatre stage, like a big hollywood studio lot – filled with actors who can't, or better, won't act anymore. http://vimeo.com/83656814
