About Me

Hello you! Let me go first, i'm Roman, nice to meet ya!
i've been travelling quite a while with my parents since i was a child. Later on, i've started making my mom worried cause i was travelling myself already.

At the age of 17 have left home and moved to Finland for a bachelor,
Did an amazing Erasmus in Italy and that was probably a peak of Couch-surfing for me- i had my own spot- was hosting A LOT ;) good times
Now i'm in a master..a French one...that is to say i have to study like mad haha

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Impression of the destination you re going to cannot be created if you just walk there or eat..locals are the ones who know the place in a best way..they know the secrets of the city and if you have a chance to talk to them and live at their place, your impression will be way more complete..and it's also fun perhaps..you won't feel lost and forgotten abroad.
When you host people and get hosted, after a while you understand how cool is this- to get to know new Interesting people! And it's so easy nowadays and thanks to Couchsurfing

MY EXPIERIENCE AS host
It is always different! I didn't expect that for sure. It's really interesting and meeting more people makes me wanna host even more...yes I'm a busy student and sometimes I simply don't have time to spend with people coming to me but it's always pleasure to share a supper or a conversation with them.
Once we also picked some people from the street just cause they didn't find their hostel or something

Interests

Snowboarding, guitar(classic, electric and lately Ukulele) playing, sailing at the 18th century vessel, reading books, music as art, travelling(quite obvious but still), hiking, longboarding

Music, Movies, and Books

my favourite music...I like it Live.nothing compares to the live sound.
I prefer any kind of music. Lately bouncing between Jazz, Trip-hop,Indie&alternative+Avant-garde,Electronic( Boiler room etc) and of course the essentials of all times that our dad's been admiring at their times.
"knocking on heaven's door" and lots of movies of those times are my favourite ones perhaps. Being honest, I don't like movies.
"Flowers for Algernon" is one of the best i've ever read. Lately i read a few books of Japanese authors. Currently improving my french by reading simple ( and really vanilla) books in french language.
"god father" was totally worthed to read. I read a lot,all kinds, the book is a gift that can give anyone so much.get

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

11y.o- cover a 100 km hiking trip through the mountains with a group of people who were way older than I.. Snow, 6 persons per tent/ lack of food etc etc: a 2 weeks course: how to become stronger mentally into the wild)))

15-went alone to Netherlands to join the sailing crew And I Managed to assure my parents by phone that" going through the forest in order to find the factory, after that walk till the prison..." Is the right way to go and there is nothing to worry about.- the fact that my parents "bought it" is one hell of amazing thing i've done!
Doppelgänger in a 3D movie on a ship!

Sailing. From 2009 I was working on the shipyard and sailing on " gigs" and " shtandart"- the ship of a kind!
It has many stories in one topic.. Storms, broken body parts, festivals, parades, pirate pub crawl and many other things I just can't remember right now.

Hitch hiking from Milan till Helsinki..4000 km in 12 days or "how to get home with a can of beans in tomato sauce": that was so amazing

Lived in 3 countries by the age of 20, in 4 by the age of 21 and oh god i want more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am good at making breakfasts but not the french ones- the REAL ones :)
Making knots-I can teach you how to make the ones we use on the ship
Ukulele playing
Mindfullness (a little)
