I just got back to my hometown, Jakarta, early this year after being in the UK for more than 1 year for my masters study.

Right now, I rent a small room with no couch, so I could not offer you a place to stay. But give me a shoutout if you need a local who can show you around or give you a tip or two about the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like various kinds of music and my playlist is different from time to time. Recently, I've been listening to Ady Suleiman, Tom Misch, Ariana Grande and some classic RnB.

Books: I haven't read for pleasure since I've been busy with my Master's study (so technically, I read gillions of books, but they were for research). The last book that I read for pleasure was Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom.

Movies: I like movies that keeps me guessing like Memento, or a bit quirky like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep. I also enjoy classics like Singin in the Rain, The Sound of Music, Le Balloon Rouge, and light-hearted movies like Babe, Pixar movies, and any movies about dogs (which may include low-rated movies on IMDb. But I'm just a sucker for dog stories).

Series: I watch a lot of American/British TV series. To name a few: Friends, Stranger Things, Dark Mirror, Modern Family, Sherlock, Brooklyn Nine Nine, How to Get Away with Murder.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Looking at shooting stars at the Saharan dessert (I did not know they existed before).

- I climbed a waterfall at Malham Cove in the UK last winter. It was the first time I tried hiking. I never knew I could do that.

- Right now I'm doing an impromptu tour around Europe. I don't have a clear plan of where I'm gonna go next! It's worrisome but I'm excited at the same time.

I can teach some Indonesian words that might be handy if you plan to visit Bali, or if you're interested in learning a new language.

I can give you some useful tips about Indonesia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make you Indonesian spicy sambal (spicy sauces) if I can find the ingredients in your city.

I'm good at cleaning. I'll try my best to be a mindful guest.
