ABOUT ME

I enjoy learning about new places and ideas. After graduating from Carleton College in 2011, I have lived in Kunming, China learning Chinese and studying contemporary art. I am an easy-going person who is able to adapt to different environments. I like talking to people and hearing about their experiences and opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the community, but have met some amazing surfers and hosts and thought I should give it a try. Most of all, a friend of mine said, "Couch surfing changed me from a pessimist about humanity to an optimist." I can't imagine a stronger endorsement.

Interests

I am interested in a wide variety of topics and activities. My primary focus currently is contemporary art criticism (especially Chinese contemporary art). I'm also an avid reader of everything from science fiction to articles about current events. I have lived and traveled extensively in Asia and Germany. My other interests include walking around cities, writing, movies and comic books.
