Me llamo Romi, soy Licenciada en Geología, recién recién recibida. Vivo en Río Cuarto, Argentina, pero en verano resido en Bariloche donde trabajo en un refugio de montaña en el Cerro Tronador. Esto me permite aprender mucho sobre la naturaleza, que tanto disfruto, sobre la convivencia con otras personas, dado que comparto muchos días en la montaña con mis compañeros, y sobre el mundo, debido a que nos visitan diariamente personas de todos lados.
El año pasado realicé un viaje de 3 meses por Europa y volví enamorada, no sólo de los lugares que visité sino principalmente de la gente que conocí y de la hermosa experiencia de viajar. Por eso este año, junto con mi novio Esteban, vamos a emprender un viaje de 1 año, principalmente en Francia, con muchas ganas de seguir acumulando momentos lindos en nuestra memoria.

My name is Romi, I have just finished my studies as a Geologist. I'm from Río Cuarto, Argentina, but in summer, I live in Bariloche, where I work in a mountain refuge in the Cerro Tronador. This has allowed me to learn more about nature, my passion, about living together with others and about the World, because I know people from all over the world.

Last year I traveled around Europe for 3 incredibly months. I came back to Argentina with the idea that I wanted to repeat that experience, not just because the places I visited but also for the people I met and the moment I shared with them. This time I am not alone, my boyfriend Esteban and I will be travelling during 1 year mostly in France, with the hope of have more and more good moments in our memory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Pienso que viajar no es sólo conocer una ciudad, visitar sus lugares turísticos, museos y restaurants. Creo que lo mejor del viaje es la posibilidad de adentrarse en la cultura de un país, tener contacto con locales y compartir con ellos momentos que seguramente se convertirían en el mejor souvenir. Esto es lo que más me gusta de Couchsurfing: la posibilidad que ofrece de conectar a viajeros de todo el mundo y hacer la experiencia de viajar mucho mucho más rica. Y como viajo sola, qué mejor que llegar a una ciudad nueva y tener a alguien local con quien compartir el momento.

I strongly believe that travelling is much more than visiting a city, their touristic places, museums and restaurants. I think that the best part of the trip is the possibility of getting to know the culture of a country, being with locals and sharing moments with them, moments that will surely become the best souvenir. This is what I like the most of Couchsurfing: it allows us to connect with travelers from all over the world and it makes the travel experience more interesting and exciting. I will be travelling alone, so what could be better than getting to a new city, and meeting a local to share a cool moment with?

Me encantan los deportes, principalmente los de montaña, la naturaleza, estar al aire libre, los libros, la buena comida y los buenos vinos!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Me gusta la música en general, son muy abierta en este sentido, disfruto mucho los buenos momentos acompañados de linda música. Escucho un poco de todo, rock, música clásica, soul, jazz, folcklore, tango, cumbia. Leer me encanta!!! Tengo tantos preferidos que me cuesta nombrar uno, pero creo que Rayuela de Cortázar es uno de los que más me ha marcado. Películas, un monton!!

I like music in general, I enjoy good moments with nice music. I listen to different kinds of music, like rock, classic, soul, jazz and tradicional music of Argentina. I love reading!!! I can't say which one is my favorite, but I really enjoyed "Rayuela" of Cortazar. Movies, lot of them!!!

Ofrezco compartir mi cultura, cocinar algo tradicional de Argentina, ayudar en las tareas de la casa y en todo lo que este a mi alcance, tambien la posibilidad de hacer amistades, de compartir historias y, en cuanto tenga un lugar fijo de residencia, mi casa!!!
