About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living the life of a digital nomad / working location independent (copywriting & online marketing)
ABOUT ME
I spent altogether 10 years of my life in foreign countries (I lived and worked in South America, on board of a cruise ship and backpacked around the world). I'm an open-minded person loving to get to know different countries, people from all over the world, languages, cultures, mentalities and ways of thinking!!! I love to find out more about myself, the world and all of the people living in this world... I'm a bit of a dreamer and adventurer at the same time, love travelling, nature, hiking, dancing, love eating chocolate and ice-cream ;) but I also love serious and nice conversations with people from all over the world and keeping the friendships with all my international friends spread around the world... and I love writing!!!
"Having real success in life is: laughing a lot and lots of times; obtain the respect of intelligent persons; enjoy the love of children; gain recognition of qualified persons and to know how to support the betrayal of false friends; appreciate the beauty of life; to look for the best in the others; to leave the world a bit better than the way how you found it - with a child, a beatiful garden or a happier person; to know that at least somone has lived in a better way because of you..."
PHILOSOPHY
Don't dream your life but live your dreams!
A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first big trip by myself was in 2010 (4 months) and I was travelling South America (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile) with Couchsurfing and in my opinion it was the best way to get to know the people of all of these countries, and the way they are living and thinking as well as the culture and traditions of their country. I gained insights that I would have never had without CS, I really went off the beaten track and I got to know so many lovely people from all of these countries as well es lots of other travellers! Will never forget that journey!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee jumping in Queenstown/ New Zealand, Skydiving in Sao Paulo/ Brazil, trekking in the Andes and jungle trekking (Ecuador, Peru), bicycle ride down the Death Road (La Paz/ Bolivia), snorkeling with sea lions on Galapagos Islands... only the fact that I was able to live about 3 years of my life in South America, to work on a cruise ship (3 years) traveling the world and to do a 2 year backpacking trip around the world makes me absolutely grateful and happy!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't like superficiality and it's the same about travelling: I don't like to see places superficially, taking some pictures of a town or attraction and post through online media that I have been there and that's it... I love to submerge into different cultures, people's way of life and thinking, I want to spend time with locals, share our ideas, thoughts, plans, fears and hopes and I love to see the places I visit through the local people's eyes and be one of them.
