I'm in Belfast, N Ireland (I do not, and never have, lived in England, but Couchsurfing keeps saying I do!)
I'm class craic, but my house in South Belfast is a bit cluttered and chaotic. It's not always tidy, not always clean, and some stuff is broken. However, it's warm and colourful, and there are lots of things to look at and play with. Part of the reason I'm on here is because I don't have much money and want to offer a free sofa/bed to others who also can't always afford hotels or Air BnBs (Air BnBs are ruining people's chances of getting homes in many cities, which saddens me). It's also about sharing culture, of course.
Generally, I love the people that I meet, and I feel that it has enriched mine and my children's lives, meeting people from so many different places.
Sometimes I'm too busy to hang out. I will stay on folks' sofas when my kids are grown and I get the time to travel. (Which is now!)

I conducted my friends' wedding ceremony dressed as a puffin. I made the puffin outfit myself. It was a good night; another friend found the puffin head in the hedge the next day. I still haven't got it back off him...
