I'm in Belfast, N Ireland (I do not, and never have, lived in England, but Couchsurfing keeps saying I do!)
I'm class craic, but my house in South Belfast is not always tidy, not always spotless, and some stuff is broken. However, it's warm and colourful, and there are lots of things to look at and play with. Part of the reason I'm on here is because I don't have much money and want to offer a free sofa/bed to others who also can't always afford hotels or Air BnBs (Air BnBs are ruining people's chances of getting homes in many cities, which saddens me). It's also about sharing culture, of course.
Generally, I love the people that I meet, and I feel that Couchsurfing has enriched my and my children's lives, meeting people from so many different places.
Sometimes I'm too busy to hang out.

Mother of three kids aged 27, 21 and would have been 20.

My youngest daughter died by suicide just before her 15th birthday in Nov 2020.

I've hosted lots of people now. We find it to be a rewarding experience :D
