I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist/pianist.
I've been extremely fortunate to have been able to make a living from music since my teenage years.
I'm moved by pretty much any kind of music as long as it's authentic but for the most part enjoy listening to and playing acoustic music. (if you google Ron Renninger you will reach my website and hear what I'm about)
I enjoy eating healthy whole foods, tend to spend a lot of time outdoors, try to practice yoga on a regular basis and am for the most part quite "green" in regards to the environment. (my 2005 Prius is pushing 250K and still going strong....:)
I've performed in Europe, Asia as well as throughout the US and my music has appeared on radio as well as prime time network TV.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The whole concept of Couchsurfing is very appealing to me.: Meeting, sharing and connecting with new people is more often than not a hugely rewarding and uplifting experience.
Also as I've gotten older I seem to be traveling more for either work or pleasure, ("work" being doing shows on the road) .and it's way more satisfying to stay with fun people than to stay in an impersonal and generic motel. I enjoy hosting travelers as well when I'm at my home base in Northern NJ.

Tastes in music extremely eclectic; from Jazz to Classical to Indian Ragas to Rock and new age. (you name it..) Like reading sci-fi. Juts finished reading "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" as well as Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth"
