Music, Movies, and Books

I fully admit to having random and slightly superficial taste in music -- my library is filled with anything catchy, upbeat, calming, and/or singable. Please introduce me to your favorites!

I have a soft spot for animated films -- Pixar can get tears out of me any day. Recent movies I've loved are Moonlight, Arrival, and a Man Called Ove. I know the dialogue in Parent Trap (the Lindsay Lohan version) by heart.

Currently reading Jitterbug Perfume, Excellent Daughters, and Boys in the Boat. I have a deep admiration for Jared Diamond and have read the Harry Potter books a half dozen times each as a child and adult.

Adding favorite TV shows here too -- Game of Thrones, House of Cards, Black Mirror, Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, Orange is the New Black, The Americans.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed and slept under the stars on the granite summit of Prusik Peak in the Enchantments wilderness in Washington state.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm flexible, low maintenance, and will happily help out with chores and tasks around the house! I cooking and feeding people -- it's a fun challenge to gather together the ingredients for my grandparents' Chinese dumplings in different countries. If needed, I can also chip in money for resources used during my stay.
