ABOUT ME
My name is Ronald, Im Dutch, with a Slovak mother, and currently residing in sunny Barcelona! I'm an easy going person who loves to see and experience new things, loves being around people but enjoys being alone equally. My greatest passions are everything that takes creative thought and action. I love being in the big city, but every once in a while I need to escape to the mountains to enjoy the silence and solitude.
PHILOSOPHY
Wat moet zijn, zal zijn. Altijd.

I can't offer hosting right now, but please feel free to contact me though if you want to know where to find the best IPA's in town ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Great first experience in Crete at Yoels place in Crete. Me and my friend Britt *check the photo, escaped the terrible partytown of Chersonissos and headed to the layed back coastal town Almirida. We met a some other couchsurfers there and had a lot of fun! Since then I've met a lot of surfers, but haven't had the oppurtunity to host or surf many couches since :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Amelie, Science of Sleep, Big Fish, Adaptation, Coffee and Cigarettes.Music: I enjoy all kinds of music. All-time favourite artist is Iron & Wine, nothing gets to me more than that music!Books; Catcher in the Rye remains to be one of my favourite books. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, amazing how fiction can show reality better than facts. I also enjoy reading ethnographies, The Serpent and The Rainbow and One River by Wade Davis being my favourite in that category so far.
Forest Gardening by Robert Hart, full of wisdom, vision and beauty.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Something that I will always keep in my heart was my trip to Africa. The Sossusvlei in Namibia in particular, it was like walking through a surrealistic landscape fresh of Dali's canvas. I can now add the surrealistic landscapes of southern Bolivia, equally beautiful!
The most beautiful thing though was living in Caicay and experiencing Peruvian rural life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has a different view on life. Therefore everyone can both teach and learn new insights from anyone, the bigger the differences the more there is to learn, as long as people realize they don't own truth.
