About Me

Apex House is a friendly community of creatives from all around the world. There's about twelve of us living here and we've been hosting travellers for almost four years now. The building is a converted warehouse and so has lot of cool spaces such as a cinema room, music space, gym and plans for a rooftop garden. There is a hot shower, wi-fi, kitchen and two living rooms. It's lots of fun as the communal living means there's always something going on - from live Stand Up Comedy nights to delicious meals and drinking with lots of laughter. If you'd like an introduction to London by meeting lots of people who will give you a very warm welcome, get in touch with Yasar on 07572938254. We look forward to hosting you!

YASARS CURRENT MISSION

Overtake the universe with Ape House (the warehouse band)! www.soundcloud.com/ape_house

ABOUT ME

I write a lot. Poetry, short stories, song lyrics, a blog (ronanloughney.blogspot.com) and whatever else I can think of.
I also sing, all the time. In the shower, on the street, with my band (time for shameless advertising!), Ape House (https://www.soundcloud.com/ape_house). The stuff on there's kind of old but we've got some new stuff out by end of April, which is nice.
The old band I was in was also a lot of fun:
https://www.facebook.com/bondisdeadmusic (My pseudonym is Duane Dwaynes).
Apart from that I love going out, meeting new people, reading literature (normally 1850-1950 period) and lots of other things I can't think of right now.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to try to just follow 'Speak the truth, give whenever you can, never be angry', which I nicked that from the Dhammapada. But now I don't think it's so simple. I reckon though that if you love yourself, in a non-narcissistic way, you will learn how to show love to others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

OK, time for the important bit. We take on a lot of surfers and whilst it is always a pleasure, WE HAVE TO INSIST THAT PEOPLE HELP MORE WITH THE GENERAL UPKEEP OF THE PLACE. Since we live with so many people it gets messy fast and we really need people to help with cleaning + buying general house products when they're here eg coffee, milk, bread etc. Thanks in advance for understanding

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Looooooaddds. I've never surfed myself but we've had tens and tens of surfers in the past and i hope to make it hundreds and thousands!
