I'm Cherry, a 24-year-old girl from Chengdu (Samsungdui) in western China who is obsessed with measuring the world with her feet. This year is my Gap year. I am currently preparing to go to the Central Asia-Africa Grand Ring Road. On this trip, I hope to experience sofa guests and hiking. I think this is a unique and unforgettable way to travel, and I can also learn more about myself.

I am cheerful, enthusiastic and generous. I love to make friends and learn different cultures. I want to understand the lifestyles and states of different people in the world, and be able to learn more different life thinking and attitudes.

I began to travel to China alone at the age of 18. At the age of 22, I rode a bicycle to the 318 Sichuan-Tibet Line (the most famous national highway in China) from Chengdu to Tibet. At present, I have traveled to most of China, especially in Sichuan and Tibet (plateau and snowy mountains). If you are interested in China's lifestyle and unique culture, I am also very happy to share and communicate with you.

Some people say that travel is an escape, but for me, it is a braver embrace - embrace the unknown, embrace the difference, embrace the growing self on the road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This year, I went hiking alone in Nepal and completed the EBC and ACT routes. Along the way, I encountered the most beautiful snow-capped mountains, the warmest people, and also discovered a more courageous version of myself.
