About Me

We are a small family always trying to find a break from the daily life with smaller or bigger trips.

In April my boyfriend, our 3 years old kid and I returned to Marburg from a six-month parental leave travelling through Europe. After three months of cycling along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, in January (2023) we started an Interrail trip from Germany to Turkey via Switzerland, Italy and Greece by train. Along the way we had the chance to meet many nice people and to stay with some of them. For us, using couchsurfing has been a great experience so far and we will continue to use the platform for shorter trips and stays.

We also use warmshowers: www.warmshowers.org/user/103189
and beWelcome: www.bewelcome.org/members/Justus96

When I am not travelling I am studying Peace and Conflict Studies in Marburg, a small but nice city. Here, I live with several flatmates, my boyfriend and my daughter.
As flat mates we are still settling and it’s kind of chaotic, that’s why it’s not possible to host right now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of overcoming the idea that everything has a "price". So connecting, sharing ideas, knowledge and my couch seems the most logical thing to do in a world dominated by speed and money.

Music, Movies, and Books

If you understand German and like literature, you should read (E)qualityland by Mark-Uwe Kling. The last months I have also really enjoyed “beautiful world. Where are you” (sally rooney) and was impressed and shocked at the same time reading “und alle so still” by Mareike Fallwickl.

My music app told me this week that “Laturb” was my favourite artist. I confirm ;) I went also to some very nice concerts with e.g. Team Scheisse, Laturb, Heisskalt, ZSK . And I saw a sweet live show with Siegfrid and joy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I still think a lot about our six-month journey through Europe as a very unique experience. It was so intense being together day and night and getting to know so many places and people together.
It was very important and inspiring for me to realise that we do not have to live our lives like the majority in Germany.

Teach, Learn, Share

On my trips I’m often accompanied by my juggling balls so I can teach you the basics. I also enjoy to cook and could prepare you a delicious vegan dish!
