Hey there, my name is Ronja, I am from Germany. I obtained already a bachelor of Arts degree of European Studies. Well, as this study already indicates I am very interested in Europe, the EU and its political, cultural, geopraphical and historical framework. Currently I am working as an intern in an NGO in Brussels.

I am 28 years old and I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Different cultures. different habits, different world views. Great for exchange!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it is just fun?!

I used to host but also travel and be a guest. In my current housing however, I cannot host people. That is why I can just meet you and show you Brussels (even though I am myself still new to the city).

Interests

I obviously like to travel and go on exchange. In High School I was in a programme with the south of France and Istanbul several times. In the 11th grade I went to Michigan, USA for 10 month and went there to a High School as well and stayed with a host family.
After my A-leves in 2014 I did a volunteer social year and worked at a school for handicapped students in Germany. But the job was not as international and political as I wanted to so therefore I chose to study European Studies, a very interdisciplinary degree in Maastricht.

I was in fall 2017 to January 2018 for a semester in Aix-en-Provence in Southern France on Erasmus. It was fun and the weather and nature was just beautiful :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have many favorite books, movies and music. It is all very broad and mixed up of genres.
Unfortuntely I have rarely time to read a novel for free time, just academic articles :/
Of course I am listening and danceing to mainstream music, however I like as well reggaeton, pop and just everthing that fits my current mood. I like to sing along as well, so you better take earplugs with you ;)
I also enjoy making music with friends who know how to play the guitar or piano.
