About Me

I'm a 25 year old biotechnology student from Germany, who recently discovered the beauty of travelling.
Unfortunately my current living situation doesn't allow me to host guests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard so many good things about Couchsurfing from my friends who had amazing experiences with it all around the world so I had to try it.
I am hoping to get to know a lot of different people through couchsurfing and to learn many new things about people's culture, mindset and lifestyle.

After having surfed for the first couple of times, it turned out that this is excatly the place to meet people who are genuinely interested in sharing their stories, culture and time, with people who are willing to do the same.

I really like documentaries, anything from astronomy to animals (especially dinosaurs), but also outdoor documentaries about mountaneering, climbing, surfing, etc.

Favourite book I read in school: Die Verwandlung (Franz Kafka - The Metamorphosis).
Dark Places (Gillian Flynn), The Physician (Noah Gordon), The Lord of the Rings trilogy (J.R.R. Tolkien)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learned how to scuba dive on a beautiful island in Malaysia.

Was fortunate eough to spend 3 weeks on Hawaii with one of my best friends. As of yet the most captivating place that I have been to.

Back when I was still young, I met up with a group of friends in the morning planning to go on a hiking trip somewhere in Germany and ending up spontaneously driving down south to Italy's Lago di Garda instead. We had an amazing 5 days, finding a place to sleep literally wherever we could, e.g. an abondoned cabin halfway up a mountain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to speak German.

I can share my traditional German/south German cuisine as well as stories and experiences I gathered during my travels.

I am always curious to learn more about new cultures, cuisines, traidtions and beliefs, and I think the best way to do this is through direct interaction with people.

About four years ago I started rock climbing/bouldering, mostly in the gym. I have made some experiences outdoors, but as of yet way too few. Hoping I can go again soon, potentially with a host who climbs as well.

We can talk about biotechnology.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am pretty much open for any kind of activity or adventure. I am an open-minded person and always eager to learn and try new things, may it be food or activities. I love spending time outdoors, may it be hiking, mountainbiking, climbing, or just a stroll through the forest.
