ABOUT ME

It's difficult to be objective about myself. The basics: I'm a singer and musician (Rhythm guitar, harmonica, piano) and writer. Currently I work as a Building Manager at a non profit cultural center, but I'm leaving that behind to study Mortuary Science & Physics in New York. I'm a hopeful realist, a Socialist with a Nietzschean bent and somewhat of a rabble-rouser. However, I know when to be attentive and respectful. I'm pretty laid back and absolutely drama-free, always down to have a beer and a conversation with a new friend, or chill by myself and read.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This will be my first time as an adult in the Big Apple, and as I house & job hunt, it would be nice to have a safe place to lay my head and recharge. Meeting fabulous New Yorkers who can help me wade through the city is a huge bonus!

Interests

As I mentioned, I play music, that is my main passion and goal in life. I also write stories and poetry. I'm a theoretical physics nerd. I'm also into standing up for working class, minority & LGBTQ rights, and activism in general. And I love animals!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well I've played quite a few shows with various bands. The greatest was at the legendary Roxy theatre in Hollywood, I even carved my initials into the purple leather couch backstage (and subsequently got banned haha). I've traveled all over the USA and parts of Canada and Mexico. I could go on....ask me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be delighted to teach you some guitar or give you singing lessons (I know the good warm ups!). I also make a magnificent omelet. And I'm a master of the massage, I genuinely like giving them (and receiving haha). I've read a massive amount of books and seen a shitload of movies, and could recommend some very interesting and esoteric reads/films.
