Dear Couchsurfers!

My name is Ronnie (not short for anything, but you can also call me Ron) and I am originally from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At the moment I am redefining myself by traversing Europe on foot.

On the start of Summer 2021 I started walking from the sea (Scheveningen, The Netherlands) heading east through Europe. Along the way I decided to make a short detour, heading south as winter is coming (Like Ned Stark always said).
I have no time frame, but I do have an endgoal. I hope many Couchsurfer hosts will help me reach that goal.
As I have a tent with me I am able to sleep anywhere! Hope that this time I will also meet many new friends/travellers through Couchsurfing.
During our encounters we will have ample of time to get to know each other and learn from the exchange.

Back in 2015 I left my home on foot to walk to Spain. A journey which would take me between 3 to 4 months ended up being an awesome journey of a year. After that I have lived in different cities: Barcelona, Berlin and London.

I am artistic, vegetarian and I enjoy learning new facts. I love animals, would like to have a pet again and I have a big sweet tooth (Chocolate & Cookies). In my spare time I enjoy watching series, read books and draw. At the moment I walk most hours during the day as I live the life of a pilgrim.

Futhermore I enjoy going to museums, see performances, visit places, see architecture, explore unknown territory and the wild. Getting lost is a great way to find things.

One of my dreams is to one day design and build my own Tiny House (preferably on wheels).

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Because it is a great way to meet real people. To hear their stories and talk about life.
What beter way to learn about a country than through locals. I find it very inspiring and a great way to travel. Also I learn from every encounter.
Hope to meet a lot of people through Couchsurfing!
And make new friends along the way.

I also have a fascination for languages, so be ready to exchange some native words.
