I hate beach holidays.

I like:
Massive urban agglomerations - the bigger the better; places not abundant with tourists; big housing developments where a lot of people dwell in a small area (wanting to live in them is another story); watching people.

When I travel I like to:
Ride on municipal public transport; get to the highest building in a particular city; experience living like a local person - CS is a godsend!

Favourite directors include Wong Kar-wai, Tsai Ming-liang, Godfrey Reggio, Ron Fricke, Woody Allen. I hardly ever listen to the music but when I do, it's something like John Coltrane, Jean Michel Jarre, Thelonious Monk, Philip Glass, Gil Scott-Heron.
