ABOUT ME

I'm a 23-year-old girl from Finland. After finishing high school a few years ago I took a gap year for travelling and seeing the world. I spent the most amazing year travelling and working around Australia and on my way back home I visited some cool countries in Asia as well.
Still not being able to settle down, I spent another year working and travelling, for example backpacking in Ireland and USA + Canada, loved it!!

Last September I had a whole new adventure ahead of me; I moved to Scotland to study psychology in the University of Aberdeen, doing a 4-year Bachelor program there. Really enjoying my studies and time in Scotland so far. :)

One year of Uni behind me, and it's time for a little travelling again: I've been given the opportunity to study in the US for one semester as an exchange student! Super excited about this; I'll be in studying in the University of Oklahoma in the Fall 2017, and hopefully will have a chance to travel and see other parts and states of the US as well!
I will start my trip in Miami in August, where I will spend one week exploring Florida before heading to Oklahoma for the start of the semester.

I'm a friendly and happy person, easy to get along with :) I like to get to know new people, share stories and have fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will be living as an exchange student in Oklahoma, US in Fall 2017. There probably won't be much space in my student accommodation so can't really host people here but would be keen to meet up for beers/ coffee etc if you're around! :)
Later I'd definitely like to start hosting people, I wanna give something back to the CS-community after being hosted so many times during my travels by so many lovely and generous people.

When I'm traveling I would be very grateful to have the possibility to sleep on your couch when visiting your city. Also happy to hang out, get to know you and your local area if you have time/ are keen :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had amazing couchsurfing experiences while my travels, have met so many great people and had really good times! I'm always amazed by the generosity of couchsurfing hosts and really greatful to everyone who has hosted me.

Interests

Travelling and exploring new places, food, gym, jogging, cats, psychology, getting to know new people :) I try to live a healthy lifestyle but also enjoy having fun and going out for some drinks and a party! Very passionate about my psychology studies and learning more about human mind& behaviour and how to research it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in Germany for half a year as an exchange student when I was 16-years old. Travelling through Europe when interrailing by train with my friends :)

Travelling around Australia for one year, doing so many amazing things from swimming in the waterfalls and snorkeling in the Great barrier reef to hitchhiking in the outback and sleeping in the park.. Skydiving from 14,000 ft was one of the highlights as well!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Finnish even though many people say it's impossible to learn haha.
Would love to share stories about our travels, adventures and things we have learnt :)
