ABOUT ME

I'm very keen to meet new people and always up for new things. I'm pretty immune to stress and always try to look on the bright side of life. Sometimes I can be a bit stubborn, but my good intuition compensates that.

I enjoy cooking, especially when someone else is there to cook for. And of course I love eating.

I'm a very busy bee. Always on the go and not much home. I love to seek the adventure in life and I hate routine. I need some variation in my life, so I'm always trying to meet new people and try new things. That's why I'm so happy that I finished school this summer, took off, and have been traveling ever since!

I love to have a good time. I'm always trying to find a way to make things happen, even if someone else thinks it's impossible. I really think people give up to easily on something they really want. You can do so much more than you think, and I'm always trying to find that way to make something happen.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since I've started my (world) trip this July I've participated quiet a lot on here. I love love love the concept and it has been great for me, especially when I was traveling alone. I hope to participate a lot more and now that I moved to Brussels I would love to give up my couch to host travelers from all over the world anytime and return the favor. And.. I'm always up for hanging out when I have the time to drink coffee, eat lunch, party or just give tips (although I don't know the city that well yet myself). I'll be in Amsterdam on some weekends, so I'm open for meeting up there as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed on quiet some couches so far. And only hope to host and surf more and more in the near future!

Intereses

I love music! Almost my whole family is in the music business, so I really grew up to appreciate music. I play the piano a bit and I sing. I'm also learning to play the guitar at the moment.

Also as I already mentioned I love good food, like everyone I assume/hope. Not only do I like to eat (and drink good beers), I love to cook as well.

A just started my year in photography. I love the medium and I only hope to grow more and more the next couple of years.

And last, but not least, I would like to add hitch hiking. On my world trip this is how I usually got around and I've had so many crazy adventures doing this. I love the feeling of not knowing what's gonna happen and meet the craziest human beings on the road.

Música, películas y libros

Pff.. This is impossible. I'm such a divers lover of music. It's not just one genre I'm interested in. I guess if we meet in person we can talk more about music.

Movies, ehm.. I'm gonna try by summing up some directors: Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Anderson, Ulrich Seidl, Lars von Trier, David Cronenberg, Quentin Tarantino, the Coen brothers, David Lynch etc etc etc...

And books. I don't read a whole lot. But lately I've been really enjoying books of Paul Auster, David Foster Wallace, Don Delillo and some Dutch authors of course..

Algo increíble que he hecho

Just when I turned sixteen I moved to the States for a year, all by myself, to go to high school, stay in a host family and play lots of basketball. It was such an amazing experience I will never ever forget. I'd always loved traveling, but this whole trip gave me so much wanderlust, all I want to do for at least a year now is travel, travel, travel. I've learned so much from my year in America and it made me realise how much energy traveling gives me!

Other amazing things I've done: Swum with lightning plankton at night in Croatia, slept on the rocks for a couple of nights next to the sea because we were out of money, interrailing through Europe, played intensive basketball in the States, rode camels in Egypt, snorkeling in the red sea, walked a fashion show, designed and got a tattoo, hitchhiked all the way from Iowa to Frisco, went dirt biking in the middle of the night with full moon in the canyons of Utah with an amazing guy who picked us up, sat in the back of a pickup truck of navajo families. And there will be a lot more stories to tell.
