About Me

CURRENT MISSION

social reform and sustainable systems are neccessary for a bright [green] future, and am set on making this become a global mentality and, pending success, reality. I want to see the world, and it's people, flourish

ABOUT ME

PHILOSOPHY

"To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest
critics and endure the betrayal of false
friends; To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded."

In my world, many of society's social conventions, expectations, and in general, assumptions are superfluous and irrelevant, authority figures have significantly less power than they'd have all concerned parties believe, and every one has the ability to realize their true passions and know how to find happiness in life, if only they allow their thoughts and choices to be true to themselves... freedom is ultimately of the mind.

Interests

exploring, bicycling, music-ing, taking photographs, cooking, eating, bocce, fishing, learning, drawing, ceramics, respiring, makin' discs glide, fragging chumps, singing in the sunshine, laughing in the rain, contributing to the revolutionary thought and action which takes place in the hearts, minds, and lives of those I touch.
Saving the world, going barefoot, food, camping, connecting all them dots, experiences aka academy of life, the great outdoors, communicating, meeting interesting people, hitting on the moonshine, rocking in the grain, complete mastery of the guitar, cycling, limes, fromage, avocados, garlic, basil, fresh mozzarella, cheeba, salsa, soccer, ...you?

Teach, Learn, Share

"Money cannot provide even the kind of security it promises, and a life devoted to the pursuit of money is a life whose highest priority is something which can be lost through the actions of other people. ...we see the shortcomings of those who...care principally for money."

"Have we fallen into a mesmerized state that makes us accept as inevitable that which is inferior or detrimental, as though having lost the will or the vision to demand that which is good?...Why should we tolerate a diet of weak poisons, a home in insipid surroundings, a circle of acquaintences who are not quite our enemies, the noise of motors with just enough relief to prevent insanity? Who would want to live in a world which is just not quite fatal?..."

"When the natural world reawakens in every fiber of our being the primal knowledge of connection and graces us with a few moments of sheer awe, it can shatter the hubris and isolation so neccessary to narcissistic defenses... It is these experiences that will ultimately fill the empty self and heal the existential loneliness so endemic to our times."
