ABOUT ME

Joanna (mom) enjoys where she lives. She loves the peace and quiet of the nature. She also doesn't mind travelling and exploring the world. Martha (daughter): not all who wander are lost. Monika (daughter): enjoys her social life to the fullest. Andrew (dad): likes biking and the outdoors.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short and it should be lived to the fullest. You can achieve anything you want as long as you put your mind to it. Peace and love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We live in a small town situated in beautiful north eastern Ontario at the edge of Algonquin Park. The area is surrounded by hills, valleys, forests, and lakes.

We can offer you a place to stay in our house (in the family room in the basement), a spot outside to pitch a tent in the summer, a tour around the area, and the secrets to all the best hiking and lookout trails.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have just joined Couch Surfing but have heard many great things about it from friends.

Interests

Our whole family greatly enjoys travelling. Joanna and Andrew (mom and dad) both enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming, skiing, biking, hiking, canoeing and mushroom picking. Everyone in the family likes reading and watching movies. Martha (daughter) likes art, history, and learning about new cultures, while Monika (daughter) likes dancing, facebook and socializing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Joanna: enjoys well made movies that make her think, classical and jazz music and biographical books.

Andrew: enjoys comedies and action movies, classical music and adventure books.

Martha: enjoys comedies, indie movies, historical movies and anything by Wes Anderson, almost any genre of music except country and death metal, and historical fiction books.

Monika: enjoys comedies and action movies, all kinds of music--especially dance music, and Macleans.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Joanna: I went back to school at the age of 50 and changed my life. Everyday I am amazed in the beauty of nature that surrounds us.
