Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't really surfed with other people yet unless you count friends I know who are involved in Couchsurfing...I've had some really positive experiences with people who have surfed my place!

Interests

ummm...birdwatching, music (played clarinet and steel drums in university), snorkelling, chainmaille (the armour, not the silly letters), reading, astronomy, playing on the internet when I get the chance....how's that?

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like fantasy and science fiction; I'm a fan of Mercedes Lackey even though I haven't read all of her books yet (ditto with Terry Pratchet)--I love stuff that makes me laugh!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Grand Canyon, winter time. Not so many people so was much more enjoyable; the clouds made amazing formations (one morning there were three layers of cloud over the canyon) and the stars at night were the best I'd ever seen (at that stage in my life).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested in astronomy...I know quite a few constellations and even the names of some of the navigational stars; while I have a long way to go, stargazing is one thing that can be shared no matter what the education level.
