Founder and lead story teller for Storealities - an amazing women’s empowerment book series and documentary film project giving the every day woman back her voice. Through raw authentic story telling we are taking back the air time we have given celebrities and reality tv characters as role model for the next generation of women!
When I am not working on the women’s empowerment project, I have a dynamic career in railroading and public transit, am the mom of 2 and wife/partner with an amazing amazing guy.
When I am not working, I am exploring, traveling, practicing yoga and meditation.
I have traveled 4 continents, 13 countries and have over 26 stamps in my passport.
I am enthusiast, adventurous, present moment focused, and certainly a spiritual seeker with close ties to my family and community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to hear women’s stories!
I travel a ton for work and hate hate hotels.
I love to fellowship with people to feel like I am home when I am away from home.
I want to challenge what I have accepted as true especially now with such division in our country.
I hope to meet people that allow me to learn something about humanity I didn’t know already.
I especially want to be the bridge authentic story telling for women’s story

Interests

My 2 children (22 years old and 5 years old) yes! A 17 year age difference. So I am student of conscious parenting, appreciating and how these relationships teach me authenticity.
I love to read and enjoy great food though I don't cook.
I am an off the mat and Bikram yoga practitioner
I aim to experience the many different cultures and backgrounds of people. I find people very fascinating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Supporting my son, at 15 years old, in a 1 year international exchange program in Loches, France. This was not easy for me, as a mom, to support him leaving the US to move across the world for school. He is now 21 yrs old, fluent in French and has been my travel companion for many of my most treasures experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach love. I want to learn more about the world and all the people in it.
I want to share my heart and have experiences I can share to inspire more people in patience, tolerance and inclusion.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Students preferred! We have a busy 5 year old in the home and do not keep late hours; 10pm is the latest we will receive guest. We have a private room with comfy futon bed, meals with the family if my husband cooks or if you enjoy cooking. I don't cook. Bedding/pillows and basic comforts. A bike to ride for access to public transit. I may have access to tickets for local sporting events, concerts, and/or festivals. My oldest son runs an art gallery and works for a historical downtown restaurant so he will certainly be up on all the goings-on of the area especially music and nightlife for young people.
