About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Current mission? Ooooh well I haven't caught a crayfish before, so I guess that's the 1st thing on the list. Lots of little missions to accomplish though!

ABOUT ME

Hey I'm Rory, a kiwi from Wellington, NZ. I'm Super friendly and always keen to meet new people, holding a positive attitude on life. I write myself a list of '50 things' to accomplish every year and this has helped me achieve some neat goals in the past. I love a good pun, and am willing to share the laughs if so desired.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couchsurfing but I think it's such a good idea for like-minded people to connect and see the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only hosted so far, but I intend to get amoungst it when I travel later this year!

Interests

I love the outdoors and get into lots of different activities in my spare time. (e.g Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, rock climbing) I also love rocks, having studied geology and glaciology at Victoria University of Wellington. My adventurous nature is itching to get overseas and explore the world in all its beauty!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, however I feel a bit constrained by NZ music only (being a kiwi), and although I love it, I'm definitely open to branching out.
I'm a super amateur but super keen guitarist too! Always keen to have a jam!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the most amazing thing I have done is live in Antarctica! It was definitely a life-changing thing for me (spending 2 months on the ice). Didn't see one measely penguin though!
