ABOUT ME

I'm an Australian trying to see the world. I study Business and German back home but I have given that rest for one year to live and work in Europe. Since December 2011, I have been living in Germany, trying to practice my German and working. For the last few months I have travelled around Germany building up and taking down portable pubs to sell Guinness and its a great job.

I like to think of myself as easy to get along with. I love meeting people and learning new things all the time. Its always a great feeling to meet somebody new and have a connection with and I feel like I am a lucky guy because it happens to me a lot. I also like to learn bits and pieces of languages when I can so I can have more of a connection with others.

I like to spend time outside when the weather is good, and even when it is bad for the right reasons. I really enjoy mountain biking and fishing.

PHILOSOPHY

If you try and fail, well at least you tried and you know what it was like.

One more thing, when I was in grade 12 the most important lesson my physics teacher taught me was about keeping your word. I remember he told us all that in this world and age, another person cane take everything you have from you except for your word. That is yours and it is your responsibility to keep. If you cannot keep your word you might as well have nothing. Your word is the most important possession you have. Think about it.

Interests

The thing that interests me the most are people. I really enjoy meeting somebody and getting to know their culture and interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Joyeux Noel, by far the best Christmas movie I have ever seen (none of that tacky, hollywood, christmas stuff). Music I like includes: Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Cocker, Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, Boy and Bear, Mumford and Sons, Karnivool, Beatles, Powderfinger, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and whatever else is good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One place which I am sure I will remember for the rest of my life is definitely Hiroshima. Being in a city that was completely destroyed and so many lives lost in one place was the most daunting experience of my life. I spent hours in the museum dedicated to people who suffered and were killed and all the time I thought to myself that if every World Leader, President, Prime Minister, Emperor or Chairman could go to Hiroshima, there would be no more nuclear weapons in the world. But sadly I don't believe it will happen for a long time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn a lot of things and i think self improvement and new skills are always good. If somebody could teach me the harmonica that would be great. And if anybody likes to play pool i love to play it.
