ABOUT ME

Rory is a very outgoing guy, who likes to make new friends and keep in touch with ones he has already made. He is very thoughtful and courteous. He likes doing outdoor activities, and is very adventorous. You will most likely find him doing something new and exciting or perhaps traveling. Overall, he is a great guy to get to know and will treat you with the up-most respect.

PHILOSOPHY

: I do not want to be 40,50, or 60 years old and looking back seeing that I am
living at the same place I 've been for the last 40 years, none of my dreams are fulfilled, I have no legacy left for others to know who or what I did,
I made no difference in someone's life, and most importantly I didn't take everything God had in store for me and go to my full potential of what He created. I do not look forward to events, for I will miss what is right there in front of me. I make every moment count.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I am just a surfer but hope to be able to entertain guests sometime next year. I travel to many places, in the states and out in the big wide world. I love meeting new people, and listening to their stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not done any "couchsurfing" yet, but I have traveled to different places during the summer and stayed with different hosts. I am very polite and I love hearing other's stories as well as their outlooks on life. Also experiencing other cultures is a great benefit as well :D

I love meeting new people and trying new things. I like to spend my time hanging out with friends or being in nature. I am also an avid reader and like to blog about my experiences. During my weekends, I like to do community outreach and hikes.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Probably one of the most amazing, was visiting Petra. The Treasury was an awesome site to behold. I had seen it in many magazines, but to see it with my own eyes was spectacular.
Another unforgetable site, was the Holocaust museum in Israel. I had family who were Jews that were persecuted and killed during the Holocaust.It was an emotional moment for me to go through and see some of the visuals that depicted the lives of the Jews during their time in camps. It is one I will never forget and a moment I hold dear to my heart.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I know/or knew how to make a mean chili and corn bread. I am an avid player of Ultimate Frisbee and would enjoy teaching someone how to play or how to throw a frisbee.
I would like to learn how to cook different foods, how to dance better than the avg. white man, perhaps speak Klingon, and learn a new language.
