About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking for... the world! Who knows where my next arrow will go? I'm a Sagittarius!

ABOUT ME

I teach Latin and Italian in a High School, and I love it. Yes, I love teaching, because it's a way of learning. My students are doors open on the life, and through them I can see different ways of living and being. I love meeting people and travelling, because it's one more way to know the life. I'm open-minded, easygoing and optimist, try to look everything by the positive way. Life is yours, find the ways to enjoy it!

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem... catch all experiences! Life is what you every moment decide to do with!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movie. I love all by Pedro Almodovar, Alejandro Amenabar, the brothers Cohen, Federico Fellini, Nanni Moretti, Clint Eastwood, Akira Kurosawa... no geographic limits!
As for music, I love jazz (Keith Jarrett, the flamenco jazz of Chano Dominguez, the bass of Charlie Haden, the trumpet of John Coltrane, the fusion jazz of Pat Metheny... and the voices... the emotion of women singers: Ella Fitzgerald, Annie Lennox, Nina Simone, Abbey Lincoln), I'm a Beatles fan, but love Rolling Stones, Chemical Brothers and Ska groups as well (do you know Roy Paci? Ska from Sicily!), flamenco (old and new)... I love Brazilian music (MPB, bossa, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto GIl, Gal Costa, Chico Buarque) and what better than a classic Beethoven's symphony when you want to relax?
As for books... I like contemporary writers as Andrea Camilleri, Julio Cortázar, Jorge Amado, José Saramago all in original language (Camilleri is italian, but writes almost in Sicilian!), I've just discovered Fernando Sabino, a Brazilian writer... as for translated writers, I like classic ones as Herman Hesse, Agatha Christie, but also Nick Hornby... and I like to read poets, in every language. Poetry brings you nearer to life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Tutankhamon Mask in the Egypcian Museum of Cairo... an unforgettable experience! It has been a great emotion for me, more than seeing Monna Lisa in the Louvre!
