ABOUT ME

I have been described as creative, irrational, silly, warm, and all sorts of other adjectives. Sometimes I'm surprised by this, like when people call me brave, but really I'm just living my life. I'm protesting GMO corn as best I can and I try to eat animal products from happy animals. Sometimes I care about this a great deal, and sometimes my convictions are a bit lax. I try not to impose my beliefs on others, but I will talk to you about it if you ask. I really enjoy working with special needs populations. I really enjoy making up silly dances. I make a mean banana bread.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled in South America and Africa through couchsurfing. Every host I had was amazing and beautiful. I've hosted a couple of people since I've been back in the states and hope to do more of this.

Interests

I am interested in dance. I love choreography and work hard to have opportunities to share my creations. I also like to bake and play games such as dungeons and dragons. I love to garden also, but have a motivation problem. I dabble in auto mechanics which is good because my car is quite old and has many miles. It breaks a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy good movies, music and books. Genre is less important than quality, especially with movies and music. I'd say my favorite book is Lord of the Rings I'm a big fan of Winnie the Pooh books also. I don't have a favorite music or movie, when I was giving away all my movies last month, I couldn't bring myself to get rid of "The Last Unicorn," and all the Firefly episodes. I tend to listen to Indie rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I co-created and produced a modern dance show! I was really proud of this, because while we had people helping us, we did it all by ourselves. We raised the money and made the dances, and even paid our people. It was very exciting and something I want to do more of.

I spent 9 months couchsurfing and wwoofing. Best choice I ever made: traveling.

I can teach modern dance and ballet. Also math up to calculus.
