About Me

UPDATE: currently living in Malta and I will continue hosting coushsurfers as soon as I find a place for myself =) jaja

_____________________________________________________________________________
I am a lawyer with no so much time to travel, so host CSs here is a way to travel being at home jaja.
I love to cook and spend time with friends. Now I prefer the most to drink and eat something with friends and play board games in a house, rather than go out to parties, but I totally love to go out to karaokes, even if karaokes doesn't love me.
I like to go hiking and biking too. Specially go in my bike to the top of San CRistobal hill, my favorite place in santiago.
I like to travel, even if I am not able to do it as much as I want. When I travel I can explore the city on my own all day long, as well as I would be happy to join any activity, party, meeting, and explore the city with hosts or other couchsurfers.

I don't accept last minute request because I usually work long hours, so, since I like to spend time with my guests after work, I have to accomodate a little my schedule
Also, I am not going to accept request of stay for one night for a flying stop over. My apartment is not a free hotel or airbnb, so if you only want a free place to crash, please don’t send me a request.
Finally, please send personal requests and not copy-paste-

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to know people from different cultures, but really getting to know the culture and the people. I want to have a different perspective on the culture of a place through the local people or people who live there, since I think that is the better way to really have a good insight into the culture of a country. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences and stories.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted many incredible CS and have loved it. I haven't surfed yet but I hope to do it in the near future

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
the experiences that I have had in hosting have been fantastic and unforgettable!! I've really enjoyed all my CS friends and feel like I have made lasting connections with a lot of them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like almost all types of music, but right now I can say that my favorite band is Florence and the Machine. Other groups or singers that I like are Queen (of course), Dream Theater, Soda Stereo, The police, The doors, Francisca Valenzuela, Jack Johnson, Ed sheeran, PANG!, Fito Paez, Madeon. Lately I have heard a lot of Anathema and Mumford & sons. I would love recommendations of new things to listen to.

Movies: so difficult to pick one ...I like all genres in general, except terror. I especially like classic movies and Audrey Hepburn.

I am good for binge watching netflix (or amazon) sometimes jaja. Mi favorite series of all the world is How I met your mother. I don’t watch Tv in general, I prefer Youtube Videos and I am totally in love with John Oliver.

Books: one of my favorites and the most recent that I read is Good Omens of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Biking in the Death Road in Bolivia
Swim with sea lions and all kind of animals in Galapagos
I finished Spartan Race despite that I had no preparation at all.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to cook, spanish lessons, give tips and information about good places to eat and drink in Santiago and what to do here.

I would like to learn about different cultures, how to make local dishes around the world. Also would be great to improve my english skills.

*Important: Recently I started to ask guests if they can cook and teach me how to cook typical dishes of their country of origin, since I love to cook and try new things. So with your request please tell me if you would want to teach me a recipe (doesn't have to be so elaborate and I will buy the ingredients)

And I want to share life experiences, stories, meals together, walks in the city, get to know places with local people

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and teach how to cook chilean dishes (and some italians).
Also, I can offer good conversations along with maybe Chilean Wine
