ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small city in central New York. After high school and some college, I moved to Northern California to pursue life as a preacher. Shortly thereafter I lived in Sacramento where I worked professionally as a graphic designer before starting a career in pizzerias in Portland, Oregon. I've been in love with making pizza for the last few years and have done it all over America. My newest mission is for a pizza shop in Brooklyn, New York!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to relocate to New York on short notice! So, I'd like to aim for renting a room beginning September 1st but would love to stay with nice people who know the city well and would be willing to host a young pizzaiolo while I hunt for a room!

Surfing with a local or two would greatly improve my familiarity with the city and help me prepare for a long term living situation.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are broad but I listen to a lot of American punk and pop punk or emo (Joyce Manor, Bobby Peru, la dispute, touché amore), some classic rock (The Sonics), as well as dreamy music like Youth Lagoon and the xx and jazz. I appreciate Hemmingway and find his travels inspiring. Oscar Wilde is great.

I like many different American television shows and movies, though I don't know some of the classics.
