About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring my passion(s) and finding out what I want to do in my life :)

ABOUT ME

I am an easy-going person who loves to meet new people and learn about new cultures, lifestyles and world views. I get along with almost everybody, except people with very aggressive or ignorant views against humanity , animals, nature/sustainability.

I love spending time in good company, in nature, doing sports, relaxing, cooking, exploring, watching movies and dancing/singing.

I always like to hear about people's passion and admire everyone who is persuading theirs.

I have travelled a lot and live all over the world. For the last year I have taken a time-out in my home place Munich but are now up for adventures again :)

PHILOSOPHY

The best things in this world are free and happiness is all about perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experineces were surely the nicest travelling experiences i made. I met very kind people and saw great places with them. It is really a fantastic thing to be hosted by nice people in a foreign country, which you are visiting. My very best 'couchsurfing' experience though, was not through the project:
I was hitchhiking in Northern Australia, when a bit off-looking Aborigini couple with a very messy car (sympathy points for that haha) picked me up and invited me to stay with them over night, because it was getting dark and the didn't feel I was safe dropping me off somewhere on the road again later.
In the beginning, I was a bit suspicious (after all I was a 19-year old girl traveling by her own), but I agreed because they seemed very nice. When I got to their place, they overloaded me with hospitality, cooked me great traditional dinner (cooked in the depth of the ground) and I got to know how they lived. I was amazed by their kindness towards a random girl from the street and felt absolutely blessed for that experience! Needless to say, I felt a bit bad about having second seconds in the beginning just because of their appearance.
It thought me so much about my own prejudices and I loved how they too open my world view.

Interests

I love all sorts of things, maybe even sometimes too many, so I can't decide which way to go ;)

A summary of things I love:
Being outside and enjoying nature.
Meeting people/hanging out w friends.
Cook for friends and family, EAT :).
Reading good books (candles and tea incl.).
Doing Yoga, swimming and skiing (<3).
Exploring... neighborhoods, landscapes, people, life.
Horse back riding, be in contact and work w animals in general in all sizes and shapes.
Share world views and lifestyles and learn and inspire & be inspired by others. Dancing, singing, almost everything about music.

I need:
Warmth, in people and in rooms, then I am happy :)

Music, Movies, and Books

The Zahir by Paulo Coehlo recently.

The God of Small Things, by Arundathi Roy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in India for 7months for a research project with some local NGOs and an incredible knowledgeable professor, was surely one of the greatest experience I had.
Working multiple summers as a horse trail guide in Denmark opened my heart.

The most inspiring person is my grandma from kopenhagen with her 96 years. She is still the happiest and most joking person i know.
Her eyes are affected by kataract and every time I speak to her, she tells me how foogy the weather has become in Denmark over the years .
But she doesnt bother the nasty "weather" and sits on her balcony every day, where she eats her beloved chocolate and falls asleep for hours, so in the meantime she became quite mediteranian looking :-)
I will be once only a little bit similar to her when i get to that age and still see and enjoy all the good things around.
(PS: She died a few years ago and lived happily up to 99years...)

Teach, Learn, Share

Im always planning to learn and try out new things. Convince me of your hobby and I will most likely be up for having a go :)

If you are into animal related work, music, sports or photography and I'd love to learn from whatever you feel like sharin.
In exchange, I can teach you German/Danish, tell you about my work in International Development, skiing, horse back riding or educating a street dog ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you play a guitar, I'd love to sing with you, if I dare.

I am a passionate food lover and cooker, so I'd love to cook you a dinner or create one together.
