Hello there! / Salut!

I'll start with: I'm vaccinated x4 against Covid and appreciate being around people who believe in science, and are mindful of how we all impact each other. I'm also queer and believe in respecting everybody's identities and beliefs!

Before going on my first travel adventure in 2023 I worked many different jobs since I have no formal training in a particular field, I've worked for a newspaper, in restaurants, for non-profits, as a theatre technician, and as a cashier in a houseplant store!

I'm currently a full time flight attendant, which of course means I'm away from home pretty frequently.

Personality wise, I'm very easygoing, super open to new things, I work hard and put 100% of myself into everything I do. I've lived in communal, shared households for the past three years and as an extrovert I love being social, but I am also very comfortable spending time alone and understand we all have different social needs. I'm very much a "people person" and I really enjoy communal living with people who are different than me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I did a solo backpacking trip from St. John's, NL to Winnipeg, MB (Canada) during 4 months in 2023 I stayed mainly with friends and family along the way, but I got onto Couchsurfing to find places to stay in cities where I didn't know anyone. I specifically wanted to stay with hosts from Couchsurfing so that I could meet plenty of new people with different lived experiences than myself and get to know each of the areas I visited more in depth, I had some amazing experiences with hosts and meeting fellow travelers, and hope to do so again in the future!

My lovable Newfie personality :) But more seriously: I'm a decent cook - my personal specialty is throwing a tasty meal together from leftovers and almost-gone-bad-back-of-the-fridge forgotten ingredients - I also genuinely enjoy cleaning and organizing, and I generally love lending a helping hand to whatever tasks need doing around a household, or in a garden!
