Overview
About Me
I study international relations and Arabic at university in California, but am living and studying in MENA for a year! I love to learn not just by being a student, but also by "doing" ( meeting new people, going to museums, trying new things, challenging myself, etc...).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am mostly on my own thousands of miles from home and anyone I know, so couchsurfing is a way for me to meet new people and create a life and home for myself in a new country! I also think that meeting locals and experiencing daily life is an amazing way to experience an area and learn something new.
Interests
I love to learn, so I enjoy being a student and in my spare time read a lot. I also love traveling, swimming, and have been trying to get more into fitness and healthy cooking lately.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Odesza, Ratatat, Saad Lamjarred, Lana del Rey, Chopin, a big mix!
Movies: I love movies that make you think, like V for Vendetta or a good documentary like the Fog of War
Books: I read too much to choose a favorite other than one from my childhood, the Phantom Tollbooth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My friend and I were bored like always, so I just said let's drive to Quebec and go skiing. Nine hours later we were settled into an Air BnB in Montreal with a lovely family driving us to Mont Treblant. It was one of the best weekends of my life--spontaneity is a beautiful thing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am still very young, and currently trying to figure out how my passion for MENA and my desire to help people can fit into a career. I think that the more perspectives I see through travel and the more people I meet, the closer I will get to an answer.
