About Me
Rose Njilo is a Maasai women's rights activist from Tanzania. She is the founder of the Mimutie Women Organization, which advocates for girls' education, fights against child marriage, and promotes gender equality in marginalized communities.
A survivor of child marriage herself, Rose uses her voice and leadership to challenge harmful traditions and empower women.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to connect with people from around the world who share a passion for culture, community, and positive change.
As a women's rights advocate working with marginalized communities in Tanzania, I believe in the power of human connection and shared stories.
Traveling gives me a chance to learn, grow, and build bridges between cultures especially as I share the experiences of Maasai women and the work we do to promote gender equality and education.
I also love hearing how others are making a difference in their own communities.
Staying with locals or hosting travelers is a beautiful way to exchange ideas, break stereotypes, and create lasting friendships rooted in kindness and respect.
