I am a former professor who has tuned his attention to writing. I live of a nice sailboat in the Bahamas to escape the winter in the US. I am gradually improving the boat, which I enjoy. I am on the island of Abaco in the Bahamas, which is a beautiful area with reefs and islands and clear waters. I pass my days pleasantly, except to the extent I am fighting the internet to take care of little things that seem to consume so much time.
I am wam, humorous and intelligent. A little big shy I am open-minded and always trying to learn. I like people,especially when they are sincere and kind. I am fit and (sorry) good-looking for my age. I was athletic as a young man and still am, but much less so.

It is lonely here on the boat and there is so much to share. I like people and want to meet new ones as long as they are decent. I would greatly enjoy showing them the waters around here because they are amazing.

At 15 my father made me be a deck boy (worker) on a tramp steamer going to South America. I loved it. Half the time I was steering the boat. The very best was night watches all alone and in the day sitting on the bow of the ship watching porpoises cross-cross in front of me and flying fish scatter. I liked it so much I did it again when I was 17. The sailors and I got along fine They were basically good guys who were middle-class in Latin America. It changed me for the better in many ways.
