I try to live a conscious lifestyle of minimal harm to our planet. I love animals, craft, cooking and baking, live music, learning, gardening, and nature. I love being at the beach (although I'm probably exploring the rockpools not sunbacking) and the bush.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the CS community and the philosophy behind it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfed a couple times in the United States (2012/13), but most of my CS experience is in hosting in my home town. I host a lot! Around 80 couchsurfers from 19 nationalities have stayed with me over the past few years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed a couple times in the States and it was great! I ended up being really great friends with one of my hosts, and he joined me later in my travels in Honduras. Three years later, he recently came to visit me in Australia for my 30th birthday 😊

I enjoy hosting people from all around the world and learning about their travels and hearing their stories.

Interests

I really love food! If you've ever wanted to know more about being vego or vegan, now is your time to ask all the questions! I also love anything nature-related, including hiking and trail running, animals and conservation, and crafty things like crochet. Also into environmental education.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017 I spent two months in the Mexican jungle undertaking bat surveys. Bats are awesome!

A few years ago I worked two summers at a summer camp for people with special needs in Michigan, USA. It was a challenging and amazing experience.

Volunteered at a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre in Guatemala and was a carer for two baby howler monkeys.
