Overview
About Me
Carpe Diem! I love adventures; learning about new places, people and having new experiences.
I try to travel as much as I can. In the last few years between studying and working, I have backpacked across South East Asia, lived, worked and travelled in America, travelled and worked across Europe, and studied on exchange in Perth in Western Australia. Last year I lived in Bali, Indonesia to study Balinese dance, further my aerial circus training and learn Bahasa Indonesian.
I'm currently based in London where I work as a circus performer. I train and perform aerial silks, corde lisse and hula hoop. I love this colourful city; it is so diverse, multicultural and creative!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think CS is a brilliant way to connect locals and travellers across the world, enabling people to have more authentic travel experiences.
I've hosted a few lovely surfers, and it's been such a great way to meet people, make new friends and share stories. I'm looking forward to when I'm travelling next and can surf myself.
Interests
I live an active lifestyle; I train at the circus about 4 times a week. I also enjoy dancing, hiking, biking, swimming, rock climbing and jui-jitsu.
I'm very creative and in a past life I worked as a jeweller, a bodypainter and a set designer.
I love working in the festival scene where I can creatively express myself and get involved with awesome projects. I'm actively involved with the European burner community, having been involved with Nowhere festival and London Decompression (Spanish regional burn) for many years. I've also been at Burning Man and Burning Nest.
Music, Movies, and Books
Lots of 'em.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming at night in the bioluminescence on my favourite beach in Thailand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach - English, hula hooping, aerial, vegetarian cooking, sewing.
I'd love to learn - to speak better French, to further my Indonesian and to learn a little bit of Spanish.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can whip us up a delicious vegetarian meal and regale tales of my travels.
