About Me

I am a very friendly and kind person who enjoys spending time with friends. One of my greatest joys in life is making people smile and laugh. I enjoy the outdoors and find nature calming and relaxing.

I also love to watch anime, listen to music, and I love animals. I have two main goals in life at the moment and they are: being the best friend I can be and working in endangered species recovery.

Currently I work fulltime at The Home Depot and I'm interning for the Otsego County Conservation Association.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I graduated college in May, 2016 and I'm looking to travel more and meet new people. I would like to go to new places and see what the world has to offer. I like to keep an open mind and learn from all of the different types of people I meet. I enjoy traveling, but I don't get to do it often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've ever done is take a college course called Water and the Environment of Guatemala in the Summer of 2015. It was 2 weeks spent in the beautiful caldera of Lake Atitlan in the Sololá region of Guatemala. While there I studied water quality, learned about the rich cultural history of the Mayan people and the oppressive government that they're living under today. I met many wonderful people who are generally happier and friendlier than people in the U.S. I climbed an active volcano and watched a different, nearby volcano erupt in the distance. I have so much nostalgia just thinking back to then.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm no teacher, but I can share some knowledge of the environment and my personal life experiences. I'm a great listener and I do enjoy getting to know people. Ask me anything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share laughs, friendly and lively banter, great conversation, beer, perspective.
