People deeply interest me; even though I'm fairly introverted, I like having in-depth conversations and scratching the surface of the inner workings of people's minds - we're all so shaped by our respective contexts, and that subjectivity of experience and of our intellectual framework is what lends places and cities meaning. This is why travelling to new places and meeting new people excites and terrifies me beyond belief: the constant recognition that I live in a place that is infinitely more complex, more nuanced, and bigger than the confines of my little emotional world.

Couchsurfing helps to facilitate that, since it really doesn't help that I'm a broke college student.
