About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California. Even though I love the place that I am from I enjoy exploring the other 50 states as well as the rest of the world! I got bit by the travel bug before I even started traveling. When I was going to school in Santa Barbara I met lots of international students and I loved learning more about the world through them. A lot of the people I met had traveled all around the world. I felt like I was missing out because at the time I had barely been out of California! As soon as I graduated college I vowed that I would spend the next year traveling. I view traveling as the best form of education and I am so thankful that have the privilege to travel around this beautiful world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently on a cross country road with my boyfriend. He is from Pennsylvania and I am from California, but we met in Alaska. Together we are discovering the country we call home. In order to keep expenses down we have been camping, staying with friends, and using this awesome website.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hate answering this question because I always feel so judged by the media that I consume.

But if I have to give some form of an answer I would say:
Music: The Beatles
Movie: Back to the Future
Book: And Then There Were None

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completely changing my life by picking and moving to Alaska for the summer. I worked at a fishing lodge in the Bristol Bay area. Here I learned what hard work actually means, I flew in a beaver plane, I attempted to learn how to fly fish, and I met my boyfriend and traveling partner.
