About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and experience different cultures.

ABOUT ME

I am a 2012 University of Rochester graduate who majored in Economics. I have a passion for International Development and would like to pursue a graduate degree in Developmental Economics and eventually a career in the field. If you happen to have some connections there, I would welcome the opportunity to learn more from you!

PHILOSOPHY

Corita Kent once said, “Life is a succession of moments. To live each one is to succeed.” Therefore, live each moment. Love a little more. Stress a little less. Remember, it’s not always the big-picture future but about experiencing and appreciating the small moments life presents along the way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month backpacking through the Patagonian region of Argentina. It was some of the most beautiful wilderness I have ever seen and would love to return someday. At the end of my trip, at the end of the world, I got apendicitis is Ushuaia, Argentina and ended up in the hospital for 3 days. No one could really speak english, and at that point, my spanish wasn't the greatest... it was an adventure.

Just got back from Belgium in December 2011. I hit Sevilla, Spain; Amsterdam, Holland; Marrakesh, Morocco; London and Cambridge, England; Hamburg, Germany; Paris, France; and Brugge and Brussels, Belgium. Morocco was AMAZING and I recommend that everyone take a trip there. London stole my heart, though it may have been the people I met there that made the experience one for the books. Paris, when I had really no desire to go, really surpassed what I thought it was going to be. Eat mussels, waffles, fries, and drink beer in Belgium.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to journal and write, so I would love to share stories with people who also write. Formally, I study economics, religious studies, and legal studies at university. I am just learning Spanish, so I would also love to put these new skills to use!
