ABOUT ME

I am an Australian girl from the Sunshine State of Queensland. Contrary to the common stereotype, I am not a beach bum. I burn if I so much as look at the sun! I enjoy reading and doing craft work when I am at home. When I am travelling, I enjoy getting out and learning about the country/province/town I am in, and taking in the local nature, buildings, museums etc ... typical tourist stuff.

I have been immersing myself in wwoofing for much of my journey so far, I love to get out and work in rural areas and meet lots of locals! Different types of farming are very interesting to me, as I grew up on a pineapple farm. Needless to say, I have been WWOOFing a few times :-)

CouchSurfing across Canada! I am travelling, so I am unable to host at the moment, and probably won't be for some time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had a few CouchSurfing experiences so far, but they have all be fabulous and very different to one another. And when/if I get home, I hope to have some CouchSurfers of my very own one day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

--Acting as midwife for an alpaca, who gave birth to an amazing baby girl
--Working alone in the silent, snowy birch stands of the Yukon

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about growing pineapples, exploring Queensland (Australia), how birch syrup is made and farming alpacas (and using their fibre to knit, weave and crochet). I love to learn new things (anything) and to share my knowledge.
