ABOUT ME

Well, I am 21 years old and I have spend some time of my life in the U.S and Austria. I was born in Iowa/Fairfield and grew up mostly in Austria. Austria is a really tiny country in the middle of Europe, but it´s well known for it´s beautiful mountains and awesome people. I love my home town but I´m hoping to see the whole world.

I´m a relaxed person like my best friend/boyfriend Sebastian. We like to enjoy watching movies, listening to music, visiting museums but also going out with friends.

I would call myself funny, silver tongued, adventures and open-minded, probably even more but I don´t want to brag that much ;)

Currently I´m studying Translation with focus on English and Russian. Sebastian finished his Bachelors Degree in Business and is now working until he will start his Master degree in October.

Sebastian (27) and I met in October 2010 and enjoy our lives together since then. Sebastian is a very generous person, who likes to enjoy life every day. Either while we stay at home and trie out new recipes or go out and dance our feet off.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything you believe, you can achieve --> Something my dad told me once and I truly believe.
Treat other people, like you would like to be treated.
Sebastian likes to say: "Die Liebe besteht zu drei Viertel aus Neugier." and
"Denken ist schwer, darum urteilen die meisten."
Now I can show my translation skills. In english: "Love consists of three-quarters curiosity" and "thinking is hard, that´s why most people judge".

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard lots of great stories from my friends and family about CS. While they where traveling though the world and CSed they made friends and saw not only the tourist places of cities but also had an insight in the buried treasures of the city. They were always warmly welcomed wherever they were.
Sebastian and I are hoping to have the same experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Neither of us have any experiences yet, but while our upcoming trips in the future we are hoping to have lots of experiences especially as guests.

兴趣

Sometimes we are boring and just like to hang around, watch a movie on our comfortable couch, play board games or cook something tasteful (we love food), but we can also be adventures.

Sebastian and I love to travel. Even though we are students, we work part time and in our summer break even more that´s why we don´t have as much time to travel as we would like to, but in the past 1 1/2 years we went to Italy, Munich, London and visited some beautiful cities in Austria like Vienna.
Before Sebastian and I met I traveled to Maui, Costa Rica, Denmark, Croatia, Ibiza, Turkey, Italy and lots of Big cities in the U.S e.g. L.A., San Francisco, Chicago, New York. My father lives in Washington D.C and almost every summer I visit him and we love to travel together. We traveled through the States with his car and a tent in the trunk.
Sebastian also traveled to Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Balearic Islands, Spain, and Switzerland.

During the summer we like to go swimming and do other sports. Thanks to the Austrian Mountains we have the possibility to go snowboarding in the winter.
I trie to be not so competitive while we play billiard, bowling, ping pong or play mini golf. I love mini golf, something I have enjoyed mostly in America.
To shorten things we like everything that is fun and we always like to trie new things.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love musik, probably because I love to dance. But I also love to listen to mother nature while taking a walk on the beach or in the woods.
We are big fans of movies, I do have a collection of Dvd´s but thanks to the internet we spend a lot of time watching movies on my lap top.
I have started lots of great books in the past few months but somehow it takes me a long time till I finish them. I mostly finish them on my journeys. My favorite book is "Ohne Geld bis and Ende der Welt" a book about a journalist, who tries to travel from Germany to the Antarctic without any money. I also love to browse through fashion magazines.

The most amazing thing I have realized is that you always have to keep going.
We are hoping to see or do amazing things during our trips in the future.

We see every city as a unique university and the people living there as teachers, who deliver the cities culture and we would like to be the new students.

Also if someone could teach me to braid a french plait that would be soo awesome.
