About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Laid back, fun couch-surfers and hosts. Take life as it comes.
ABOUT ME
I've lived just East of the Twin Cities area since 2007-2018. Now I live in the North West part of the Cities and look to travel eventually.
I am fun, laid-back and always looking to get active. I live close enough to St Paul, MN to get there almost every day. I like to rollerblade, hike, camp, and have little fires in the back yard pretty regularly. I have two grown stepsons that are sometimes part of my life. They are a ton of fun.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is not as serious as most people take it. If you sit back and relax when there's a problem, it usually gets done much quicker and with much less stress.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would like to be regular at Twin Cities events. I want everyone to have the chance to travel the world, even if it's only to my small corner of the world. I also want to couch-surf a few times every year. I would also like a few surfers to end up with me once I have a place that can provide that. I love meeting new people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had quite a few family and friends come to stay when I had a house with my ex-husband. I have also stayed at multiple homes of friends. I've met people on other networking websites and hosted or surfed with them. I love meeting and spending time with new people. When I host, we make ourselves as available as I can to my guests. Just don't have the space for it ATM.
Interests
I don't have any pets and my television is limited. I do love pets, though. I am always trying to get healthy, both physically and mentally. I spend a lot of time working, but when I am not working, I am usually doing something active. I am passionate about my life and the people in it. I hope you would join me in my pursuits.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like music. Almost all genres are within my repertoire. I was classically piano trained for 8 years and vocally for 3 when I was young.
I like almost any movie. I'm most into fantasy and animated. I also really enjoy action flicks and some comedies. My favorites are Hacksaw Ridge, Labyrinth, Minions, and Lord of the Rings.
What TV I have seen recently is mostly Netflix. My favorites from there are Altered Carbon, The Happy Place, and Jessica Jones. Farther back, I've liked most Star Trek series, Hercules & Xena: Warrior Princess.
I also read a lot. Mostly fiction, allegory and fantasy, but there's a few self-help books and a bit of the Bible going at all times. I used to run a book club once a month in the Twin Cities area. My favorites have been the Cormoran Strike series by Robert Galbraith, Lord of the Rings series by JRR Tolkien, and Feeling Good Together by David Burns MD.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I've ever seen is the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It's beautiful! I also really loved walking next to a raging river in the Rocky Mountains during snow melt. It was loud and destructive.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Scrapbooking, basic cooking/baking, rollerblading, basic Spanish, intermediate level chemistry and math
Learn: I love learning new things. Just about any topic that gets you geeky is something I'd like to hear about. I would like to continue learning American Sign Language and Spanish. I would also like to learn something about wines, beer, decorative rope work, and living off-the-grid (solar, water collection, scavenging food, etc).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am physically strong. I also have lots of experience helping people move. I have been a tutor for kids quite a few times and enjoy sharing about my upbringing on the farm.
