ABOUT ME

I'm super adventurous and tend to go with the flow. Since I'm really curious about people and places, I tend to ask a lot of questions, but I'll need my notebook so I can remember all the details! I love to try new things, whether it's food, an activity or a destination so I'm down for the fringe experiences :)

I really do believe in karma and energetic attraction, so I very much value positivity, pragmatism, openness, non-judgmentalism (my own word here) and ownership of one's own actions and situations. I am a harsher critic of myself than of anyone else so some compare me to a life coach :) But don't worry, I only give advice when it's requested - I'm also known for my listening skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a couple couches now, in Israel, Egypt and Turkiye and have found it to be utterly delightful and often the highlight of my travel experience. The couchsurfing hosts and communities (I did not surf in Lebanon but I became part of the CS community) are a breath of fresh air when at home or traveling since you know you'll be amongst people who like to know new people, are open to giving without having to receive and who genuinely, overall, want to bridge the gaps in our knowledge and intercultural exchange/understanding.

I am also hoping to open my apartment in the near future for surfers in NYC.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping off the Bloukrans Bridge- highest in the world- in South Africa. I was scared out of my mind and had to jump first in my group. What a rush!

Aug 2011 was my first near-month of traveling solo. I was in Egypt & Turkiye.
