About Me

Born and raised in the Toronto area. Currently, a student at York University studying to be a translator/interpreter (français, español & português). I absolutely love languages and learning about other cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For now to visit different parts in Canada while providing a welcoming place for travelers and newcomers here in Toronto. Eventually, I'd like to travel more overseas.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies? Maybe 12 Angry Men might be my favourite and then the Matrix and a lot of foreign films. Mostly drama, comedy and action are the kinds of movies I like to watch.

I read mostly non-fiction especially stuff related to my studies. I'm always on top of current affairs nationally and internationally. Occasionally though I get sucked into a really good novel and I'll just consume it.
Some of my favourite novels include: Fahrenheit 451, The Great Gatsby, Frankenstein, & 1984.

Taste in music is a little varied. I like classical and jazz (especially Brazilian jazz "bossa nova") but also electronic, house and indie rock.

I appreciate just about any kind of food but I really enjoy Indian, Japanese, Greek and Latin American cuisine.

Shows: Suits, How to Get Away With Murder, Louie, Archer, Adventure Time, Série Noire, Shameless

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've met Peter Mansbridge (CBC news anchor) in person when he came to my campus....lol that's a pretty sad thing to consider amazing....um. I'll come back to this when I can think of something better.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach and learn languages while sharing our respective cultures. I can help you with Portuguese or Spanish if you're interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I work at tourist information centre. So...you could say I know a thing or two about Toronto. A wealth of knowledge of Toronto and help to practice your Spanish or Portuguese await you :)
