ABOUT ME
I'm from New York state, got my psychology degree from NYU. After university I traveled for two years, which is impossible to describe in one small paragraph. I've been back in NYC for almost three years now, working for a human rights nonprofit, organizing an international human rights conference in Norway every year. This summer I'm getting one last fix of the road on a 5-week backpacking trip before getting my masters in social work.
Once a traveler, always a traveler. Elizabeth Gilbert said it best:
"I feel about travel the way a happy new mother feels about her impossible, colicky, restless newborn baby---I just don't care what it puts me through. Because I adore it. Because it's mine. Because it looks exactly like me. It can barf all over me if it wants to---I just don't care."
PHILOSOPHY
"Before curiosity kills it, the cat learns more of the world than a hundred uninquisitive dogs."
--Tom Robbins
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Never had a bad one.
Interests
I like to say that New York is the only city in the world shiny enough to keep my attention for more than six months. You can live there for lifetimes and still never see a fraction of what it has to offer. I try to do something new every day. My friends are my world, the world is my friend. More than anything I love to listen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Accidental mountain climbing in the Tatras of Slovakia; exploring the monasteries of Meteora, Greece; a ballet at the Marlinsky Theater in St. Petersburg; sneaking into a castle in Petra, Portugal; drum circles in Edinburgh; fire dancing in Fiji; hiking in the rain in Laos; motorbiking through Thailand; all-day music festivals in Auckland; hitchhiking through the South Island of New Zealand; living every day with open eyes.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has something to learn or teach. It is the purpose of life. What else is there?
My advice: ask for a life story.
