About Me

"Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."
~ Desmond Tutu

In August, I will be embracing a mini world trip with my boyfriend, who is doing a major world trip. I have just finished a one-year teacher training course in Modern Languages (Bristol, UK) and am ready to go a slightly different route, including: traveling, meeting people like you, learning about new ways of life, and picking up ideas and inspiration in alternative medicine and well-being. When I return home I'm planning on training to become an Osteopath.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet local people and see what life is, really, all about.

Interests

Multi-fold and always developing. Things I have always loved: communicating with people (and animals), the outdoors, feeling connected through history, geography, music - anything lyrical, instrumental, and that will get my "ass up on the dance floor" (sounds a bit hiphop!), yoga and salsa dancing.

Generally open-hearted and up for everything!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music that creates a good atmosphere and am intrigued by many different artists and styles. As for books, Paolo Coelho's Alchemist, Memoirs of a Geisha and unusual biographies such as Living in the Shadow of Saddam Hussein.
Favourite movies are mainly of the international kind, including German films such as The EduKators and Lives of the Others; Korean: Spring Summer Autumn Winter Spring; French: The Intouchables, Amelie, The Diving Bell and Butterfly; American (and old time favourite): French Kiss. And more recently, as a general fan of Benedict Cumberbatch and his reenactment of Sherlock Holmes - The Imitation Game.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been teaching English, German and intermediate French and love to help in these languages, in any way I can.

I can share a bit of knowledge about India and South Korea, as I have spent extensive time in both countries.

I would love to learn massage, any methods or form of alternative medicine, health and well-being to enrich my knowledge of the body-mind-spirit.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share and help in the household and make you feel comfortable hosting me and my boyfriend who, too, is very courteous, easy-going and loves to make the most of the moment.
